Grasstrack racing

May 2008: Grasstrack racing, although the 'grass' in the title doesn't last long. Oval track racing has its roots in horse-racing, and even now the very chepaest form of motor-racing has this at its core - as well as the top fuellers in NASCAR racing which also use an oval, although a lot bigger, and faster. The benefit of this sort of racing is that it is generally quite safe as the fastest cars stick to the inside, and anyone who has a problem generally migrtes to the run-off area. It also is good for spectators - you can see what is going on all the time.
