September 2006: Willandra Lakes National Park, NSW, Australia. The 'Lunettes' or crescent-shaped dunes are formed by the wind blowing out of the hollow that was once a lakebed. the dunes heap up in a continuous half moon and ripple beautifully. We went out at dawn and dusk every day and were never disappointed. | ||
