2006 - The Year in Pictures

February 2006. There was a halo around the moon that night. High-level ice crystals, apparently, although here it looks like the halo is made out of smoke from my chimney. About a 30 second exposure, and on a 21mm lense - so this was seriously big. I'd see halos before, but nothing like this; it looked like a huge hole had opened up in the sky...
