August 2005: The world is big and beautiful (not to mention extremely odd) but there are parts of Wales that I love more than most. This is the Abergwesyn valley, a narrow ravine on the road to Tregaron where natural oak forest grows on a steep rocky hillside. We affectionately refer to it as 'Middle Earth', and this particular pool as 'Sabre's Leap', named after a dog we once owned whose love of swimming - and diving - was legendary. | ||
